Hitler's Child

Berlin, May 1945 - Hitler was dead. Or was he? With the charred remains of a body as the only physical evidence and Stalin claiming that Hitler had escaped from Berlin, rumours that Germany's leader was still alive persisted. To put an end to this unwanted speculation, disguised as a British Intelligence Officer, MI5 agent Harold Cooper is sent to Germany by the British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. His mission to find sufficient evidence to prove once and for all that Hitler was dead.

 Secreted into Berlin as a member of a Royal Signals Unit, hoping to find the proof he needed, Harold gains access to the Führerbunker, where Hitler had allegedly committed suicide. After a futile search, he moved on to questioning the people who had been in the bunker during those last fateful days, several of who were being held prisoners by the Allies. Together with the information gleaned from these interviews, he eventually gathers sufficient circumstantial evidence to prove that Hitler had indeed taken his own life. While solving one mystery, however, he inadvertently unearths another. A mystery surrounding a missing woman, and the suspicion that her disappearance was somehow part of a conspiracy. What that might be, he had no idea, but something told him it could be important, very important in fact. 

 Lacking the opportunity to pursue the matter, following his death, after reading through the report left to him by his late uncle, his nephew Rex Dundas, a freelance journalist, decides to take on the challenge of solving the mystery, which had eluded his uncle. A search that would lead to a meeting with the missing woman’s daughter, Lotte, someone who would not only become an unexpected ally but someone he would fall in love with. A willing companion in the search to uncover the truth about the woman who had abandoned her as an infant. A quest which would take them across Europe to South America, and a discovery that would change both of their lives, and expose a secret that people were prepared to kill to protect. A conspiracy with a single objective: the rebirth of a Nazi Germany with Hitler’s son as its new leader.
