I am a self-taught writer of mostly science fiction and fantasy, specializing in twist endings. I've published one novel, and five 

novellas on KDP. 

As I have stated, I am self-taught largely due to the fact that I never considered myself a people-person, so I steered clear of

 journalism, one of the common ways I've seen people enter the writing profession. In addition, I've never been a fast reader

 and was slow to pick it up due to my autism and dyslexia. That may explain why I didn't consider myself a writer. 

I have been a secondary school teacher most of my professional life. I taught math, physics, and chemistry for over 30 years on 

four continents. 

I run long distances (10-mile, half-marathon, full marathons). I spend a lot of time with my wife, reading books, taking care of our

10 rescue-parrots, and writing.
